Essays 2-03b: How Useful Computers are for Homework

Today, the society of this world is information technology society. We can touch a lot of things all over the world. This is why we have many chances to touch computer. Computers are used as tools for doing many things.　For example there are Excel that can make table and do spread seat. Because of this IT society, we study many things by using computer at university. Because it is easy and convenience for teachers to check the homework.

In our case: department English, second period students have many classes that give us homework. To do this homework, they need to use computer because it set them to do homework on blog. The blog homework system is very nice way to teachers check them because blog is kind of Internet’s advantage. Second period students can see the blog anywhere and teacher too. This is why teacher can check student’s homework anywhere and anytime. By using computer’s function; Internet, the efficiency will be more increase.

There are many good tools to study English. For example there are EnglishCentral, PowerWords, and so on. The Internet can be a good tool to study languages. Moreover, Internet can see over sea’s websites, so we can see timely over foreign country’s current events at foreign languages. It must be good point to study foreign country too.

When you were doing report at PC; Microsoft Word, but you needed to leave from PC. You have to save the data, but you didn’t have USB memory stick. How will you do? You can use Google Drive. We can save the data Google Drive and you can download them on another computer. Moreover we can share their files with another student and teacher. This is very nice point. You need not to send the file for them and if you needed to work with them, you can edit same file by using two computers. Google drive make our task more efficiently.

There are office tool on PC. There are Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power Point, and so on. They have each unique point. Microsoft Word has a function; make paragraphs automatically. This is very useful. When you want to make another paragraph, you just need to push Enter key twice. Microsoft Excel has automatically calculated system. It is very useful too because we need not to use an electric calculator. It makes graphs automatically, so you need not to make seat. Microsoft Power Point can make nice presentation by using PC with visual medias.

When you make reports, how do you make them? When you want to read books to make that, but you have no time to go to library, how do you do? The easy way is using computer and see many Internet sites. When you put a word on search box, you can see more 10000 sites. You can get much information about a thing that you need to research something. From these sites, you can get more information and use them. Internet must be good tool to study something.

There are many good sites. Especially there are movie share site called YouTube. The site is very nice. When you want to know something, you can learn the thing on movie, so it may more easy to read some sites or books. YouTube can be a good tool to study. As I said before, YouTube is connected all over the world, so you can get not only Japan’s information but also other country’s information.

There are not only advantages. There are disadvantages too. Too use computer is not good for your health. To use computer too long causes eyesight problems. It means low vision problems. You know how useful it is, but you must know too use computer is not good your health.

Essays 2-01b: the way of study other languages from my experiences

I learned three languages. I learned Japanese, English, and French. My mother tong is Japanese, so it is not easy to study them, because English and French consist of SVO. You know Japanese consist of SOV, so the construction is not same. That is why it was not easy to study and understand them. I can say the difficult point of learning Japanese is Kanji. There are amount of kanji in Japan. This is why memorizing Kanji is very difficult point in Japanese.

In my case, the first language which I learned was English when I was junior high school student. At first, I could not understand how I study it, how I understand it and how I use it. I was always worried about my grade and my life after I graduated. However, I saw an English teacher. Her name is Ms. Wada.

 She told me a good way for studying other languages. First of all, she said me “never think a language which you learn is not same with your mother tong.” Next, you must listen the language, pay more attention for the pronunciations, write anything in English without consider about mistake, and use the language. All of them have each meaning. I can learn how to pronounce words by listening the language carefully. I can learn many vocabularies by writing something in English, because when we writing something, we have a same question. It is word. If you tried to write a word: book, but you don’t know, you must be look up the word on a dictionary. The process is very good thing for remember lots of vocabularies. I can learn the way to use many words.

After I taught them from her, I tried to do that. Few months later, I felt tow things. They were that I could memorize many words and the way to use the word, and hear English better than before. Then I thought. The wrong was my way of studying. Her advices made me improve and it was a good job for me.

At this KGU, I have started to learn French. I didn’t have confidence. However, I tried to do the way which my teacher Ms. Wada. However French was very difficult for me because it was little bit same but there are many differences between English and French. Not to mention, there are many differences between Japanese and French more than between Japanese and English. It was very confused me.

 Then I met Ms. Wada, again. Then I asked her how to study other language by using another ways. Then she told me another way. It was very simple. It was to do many practices. I solve many questions on the note again and again. At the final test, I could solve the many questions.

From my experience, to study other country is very difficult for us, but we have to do listening, writing, practicing the language, and using the language, and they will make us a good roll.Learning other language is very difficult for us, but I think that the most important thing to learn them is to ask someone who has skill to learn other language and tri the way of learning. If the way is not suit you, you can ask the other someone who has good skill of learning other languages. The important thing is not to go on study by using don’t suit way of studying.
